We Began with a Dream
Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation was established in March 1998 with a $1 million donation from William Hewlett. Since that time, Mr. Hewlett’s dream has been joined by thousands of permanent and part time residents committed to strengthening our community through philanthropy.

More than 200 Grants to Nonprofit Organizations – Annually
Through the generosity of the many people who live and vacation in Tahoe, we support hundreds of the region’s best nonprofit organizations and the extraordinary people who make our community a great and beautiful place to enjoy.

Since incorporating in 1998, the Foundation has stewarded more than $10 million into local organizations working to improve our community.

Over 75 Funds Tailored to Truckee-North Tahoe Donors
These funds support a broad array of organizations both locally and nationally. Grants from these funds can be advised by the donor, allocated to a general cause, made in memory of a loved one, or directed by the knowledge and experience of our community foundation staff and board.

From the arts and humanities, to the environment, youth, healthcare, education and human services, we make a difference in the community and improve the quality of life in our region.
