Local real estate professional Christy Curtis moved to North Tahoe – Truckee for the same reasons as nearly all of us: mountains, skiing, hiking, biking, and fresh air. A Los Angeles native, her favorite childhood memories are West Shore summers and Olympic Valley winters with her family.

As an adult, she found her way back to Truckee in 1978 to embark upon a successful real estate career. Christy’s love for her tight-knit community is evident, and she believes “If you really love a community and all of its facets, it feels good to give back.”

Early on, she began a healthy habit of giving back through volunteering at local events, her children’s schools, and her neighborhood HOAs. This habit is now an integral part of how Christy shows up in our community: as a seasoned and dedicated board member and volunteer, and through opportunities that shape our region’s future while preserving the things that make it special.

Christy brings this commitment into her business Christy Curtis and Crew, as well. More than selling properties, she welcomes new community members by sharing her love and knowledge of the region. She finds her clients the perfect home for their lifestyle, and helps integrate them into the fabric of their new community.

Christy also exposes clients to local nonprofits. Through Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation’s (TTCF)Business Supporter Program, Christy donates a portion of the sales from every home she sells. TTCF then educates her clients about local nonprofits and connects them to the philanthropic opportunities that interest them most.

Christy knows: “People move here because they really want to be here. They have different passions and this is a way to help them fulfill those passions and become a part of the community.”
