The Legacy Society
The Legacy Society is a honor society for individuals who have made a gift to the community through their will or estate plan as a way to recognize this special form of lasting philanthropy Making a gift is as easy as designating the Foundation as the beneficiary of an IRA or leaving a simple bequest. (For example: “I give [an amount of money, shares of stock, a percentage of my estate] to Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation.”
Involvement in the Legacy Society gives you the opportunity to enjoy the company of others, who like yourself, care about leaving a legacy to protect the and strengthen our beautiful region. You may always choose to remain anonymous in your philanthropy through the Foundation. However, participation in the Legacy Society can be an inspirational experience, and may encourage others to look toward the future and how they too may have an enduring impact on the causes they care about.
