Elevate Tahoe Accepted into Wild & Scenic Film Festival

Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation
Published on October 29, 2014

TTCF recently partnered with Moonshine Ink and SBS Media House to cinematically explore what’s innovative about our food system at six thousand feet. Last year’s Queen of Hearts Annual Dinner inspired a seven minute film framing our region’s food conversation. Quickly, we realized seven minutes just wasn’t enough. Moonshine Ink and SBS Media House produced a more in depth twenty minute video successfully capturing expanded stories of food innovation. Community clubs and venues have taken up the film enthusiastically. Most recently, the Wild and Scenic Film Festival announced that they, too, will show the film- to an audience of more than four thousand!

Excited is an understatement for our reaction here at TTCF. We are proud to be a catalyst recognized for this work, and to illuminate the creative ways our proactive community members dare to solve big problems. With a desire to tell the stories of our region, we see an opportunity to explore innovations in other areas such as climate adaptation, sustainability, and more. Just as importantly, we want to celebrate the individuals, organizations, and businesses that are engaging in community impact at six thousand feet. Stay tuned for more.
