Q. How do I apply for funding?
A. Review the guidelines on this website to see if your project qualifies. You may also contact Phebe Bell, Program Officer, to discuss your idea with her.
Q. Who decides whether or not my project gets funded?
A. TTCF has a volunteer grants committee that reviews every grant submitted and meets with applicants. From this review, the grants committee makes recommendations to TTCF's board of directors, who have the sole responsibility to award grants.
Q. What happens if I can't get my proposal in before the deadline?
A. Our deadlines are firm. If you are unable to submit a proposal before the deadline, it will be held over to the next appropriate funding cycle.
Q. I've never written a grant before. Can someone help me?
A. TTCF's staff can provide guidance and coaching in your grantwriting. Please schedule time to meet with Phebe Bell, Program Officer, well before the deadline for your grant to be written.
Q. How long does it take from the time I submit my application until I hear whether or not it is funded?
A. Generally, it takes about 6 - 8 weeks before funding decisions are made.
