Truckee, CA, announced the opening of the pilot Emergency Cold Weather Warming Center in December 2015. Located in historical downtown Truckee, the Warming Center is open on nights with the most extreme weather conditions to ensure that all of our neighbors are protected and warm.

Guide for Giving Raises More than $355,000 for Local Nonprofits!

From December 1st – December 31st, North Tahoe and Truckee visitors and residents rallied their dollars and support for local nonprofit organizations. Through the Give Back Tahoe Guide for Giving, local nonprofits and their donors enthusiastically sought to earn Challenge Grants and match donor dollars. What happened next was pretty amazing.

Regional Partners Come Together for Housing Study

North Tahoe and Truckee residents are facing a growing wealth disparity in our region. This is especially evident in housing challenges that affect the broad spectrum of our residents. This issue is complex, and the solutions will require regional stakeholders and partners to come to the table in collaboration. We are at the precipice of a 9-12 month regional study with over $170,000 behind it.

Project MANA: Alleviating North Tahoe and Truckee Hunger

Shortly after being established, TTCF became one of Project MANA’s community partners and couldn’t be prouder to share their story. $50,000 Grant Cycle Opens September 7, 2015

The Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund is excited to commence its annual grant cycle. This year, $50,000 will be awarded to regional nonprofit organizations and projects across four areas of impact. What makes this grant cycle unique is that it is dispersed as four $10,000 grants with an additional four finalists receiving $2,500. Registration is open September 7- September 24, 2015.
