2016 Steingard and Blumenstock Scholarship for the Arts to Award $1,000

The 2016 Steingard and Blumenstock Scholarship for the Arts is a onetime scholarship held at TTCF that will offer one student in the 2016 graduating class $1,000 for higher education in the arts. Carol and Mark Steingard created the scholarship in honor of their parents for always encouraging them to pursue their dreams.

Phyllis McConn Accepts Position as TTCF’s Community Impact Officer

Phyllis McConn has worked with Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation for 15 years. We are so pleased to announce that she has accepted the role of Community Impact Officer and will now dedicate her time to community engagement, planning, capacity building and continued oversight of grantmaking.

Our Office Manager, will be leaving the TTCF family. She has announced that she will be moving to Kentucky, where her husband Michael has accepted a position with their regional paper. Kelly has served our mission for over two years and been a constant friendly and warm presence in the office. $50,000 Grant Cycle Opens September 7, 2015

The Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund is excited to commence its annual grant cycle. This year, $50,000 will be awarded to regional nonprofit organizations and projects across four areas of impact. What makes this grant cycle unique is that it is dispersed as four $10,000 grants with an additional four finalists receiving $2,500. Registration is open September 7- September 24, 2015.

At the end of March, the North Lake Tahoe Resort Association hosted its 61st Annual Community Awards. It was a night to connect with neighbors and share in the joy of what it means to work together in this incredible community. The night would have been full in and of itself, but when awards were announced, we were both surprised and honored at what came through the speakers.
