Christy Curtis, TTCF Business Supporter, cultivates community

Christy Curtis is a Tahoe – Truckee real estate professional whose longtime love of her tight-knit community is clear. A lifelong volunteer and board member of several local organizations, Christy believes in giving back. To welcome new homeowners into their mountain community and help them connect with their philanthropic interests, Christy joined TTCF’s Business Supporter Program.

Local Leaders Demonstrate Their Commitment to Nonprofit Missions

In a 2015 survey, TTCF found that nonprofit organizations sought stronger board leadership. In response to this, we developed a four-part Board Governance Series. Exploring topics of best practices with revered local experts, 79 regional board members came to the workshops to learn how to drive their nonprofit missions.

Project MANA: Alleviating North Tahoe and Truckee Hunger

Project MANA has been alleviating hunger felt by our region for twenty five years. Shortly after being established, TTCF became one of Project MANA’s community partners and couldn’t be prouder to share their story. Hands on Tahoe Transitions to Give Back Tahoe

Local nonprofits seek volunteers to strengthen their missions. The needs of nonprofit organizations do not begin and end with dollars. Our local nonprofits depend on our community members’ greatest asset: time. In a recent Give Back Tahoe survey, nonprofits agreed that one of their greatest needs was volunteers. Taking that feedback very seriously, Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation (TTCF) announces the official launch of the Give Back Tahoe online volunteer module.

Give Back Tahoe Giving Guide Registration Now Open

The Give Back Tahoe Giving Guide is open for nonprofit registration now through September 21, 2015. Beginning on December 1, Giving Tuesday, the Giving Guide features and promotes any participating nonprofit organization that serves the North Tahoe-Truckee region for a full month. This year includes added benefits, incentives, and a year-round volunteer module, so do not hesitate to register!
