TTCF Announces Kate Frankfurt as Chief Philanthropy Officer

Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation
Published on July 15, 2021

We are thrilled to welcome Kate Frankfurt as our new Chief Philanthropy Officer. Kate will oversee all Development efforts for TTCF including the launch of the Forest Futures Capital Campaign.

Kate has an extensive career in social change work, both as an advocate as well as through fundraising and development. In her most recent position at Truckee Donner Land Trust, she led the capital campaign for Truckee Springs, raising $3.5M from private donors during the pandemic year, and ensuring that public access to the Truckee River from downtown is forever secured in our community. Acting as a philanthropic consultant, she has interacted with a number of important missions in the Tahoe region. Prior to making the move to Truckee in 2018, she transformed fundraising for Safe&Sound through impact driven storytelling and creative gatherings for major donors.

Kate stays active in the community by volunteering as a Board member with the Shane McConkey Foundation and working the ticket office at Squaw during the winter season. She lives in Olympic Valley and is the mother of two boys – one a recent college grad and the other a rising senior at North Tahoe High.  Kate has been a competitive rower and loves to hike, mountain bike, cross country ski and snowshoe.
