According to a recent study at the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, women are at the forefront of philanthropic engagement and impact. TTCF recently sat down with representatives of our very own Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund to discuss what this means locally. The fund then awarded its annual $60,000 grant cycle.
The On the Verge Leadership training program supports our nonprofit professionals in fields that experience particularly high levels of turnover and burn out. In order to ensure that our region’s families receive the greatest level of support, this program supports the development and growth of the nonprofits and individuals who work for them.
In one of the world’s most beautiful places, our heavenly seclusion is also the cause of difficult challenges. This month, we’re celebrating the completion of TTCF’s fourth Nonprofit Board Training Series, a successful Fundraising Workshop, and our nonprofit professionals who are dedicated to personal and professional growth.
On June 25th, TTCF sponsored a convening held by The Governor’s Office of Planning and Research and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco titled: Funding Climate Adaptation Implementation. Regional and State leaders attended to speak to funding solutions for our forests, watersheds, and communities.
109 local graduates have received scholarships thanks to the generosity of donors and funders in North Tahoe-Truckee, CA. Together, we more than DOUBLED the dollars we awarded!
If you ask around about the beginning of Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation, there are those who say that Scott Ryan was the very first community donor that TTCF ever received a check from. Scott let us interview him to share his story as part of our 20 Year Anniversary celebrating Community Changemakers.
