Achievable Housing Lunch and Learn Series: Upadates from the Field
Date: October 11, 2024
Time: 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Virtual on Zoom, Register Here
Speakers:
- Heidi Volkhardt Allstead, Executive Director, Truckee Tahoe Workforce housing Agency
- Jackelin McCoy, Program Manager, Truckee Tahoe Workforce Housing AGency
We’re excited to invite you to our next speaker series, where we’ll provide updates from the field on regional housing solutions for our workforce. Many people aren’t sure where to find the right information when it comes to renting or buying a home, so we’ve invited the Truckee Tahoe Workforce Housing Agency (TTWHA) to share how they’re facilitating workforce housing—from general housing assistance to navigating home purchases.
We’ve also invited local lenders to explain how broader economic factors like inflation impact mortgage rates. With rates now closer to 6.25% (compared to 7.25% earlier this year), the difference in buying power is substantial.
Jen Spahr is Branch Manager for Alameda Mortgage Corporation
Chelsy Delia is Loan Officer for the Rice-Delia Team at Guild Mortgage
There will be brief presentations from TTWHA and our lending partners, followed by time for Q&A to address your specific questions about housing and homebuying. If you’re considering buying, this talk will guide you through your options.

Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation and Housing
Since 2013, Tahoe Truckee Community Foundation has been at the forefront of identifying and developing housing solutions for our region. Elevate Tahoe, produced in collaboration with Moonshine Ink, was a three-part series that brought to the surface the emerging housing crisis. In 2016, TTCF facilitated the first-ever regional workforce housing needs assessment. In 2017, TTCF launched the Mountain Housing Council of Tahoe Truckee to bring together 29 diverse stakeholders from across sectors and the region to address the local achievable housing crisis.
