It is difficult not to love November- a month for cozying up indoors, getting ready for snow play outdoors, and culminating in a day’s worth of feasting, football, and socially acceptable napping amidst friends and family. We are so excited about November that we would like to celebrate and give thanks for the entire month here on our blog and through our Facebook page.
As a community foundation, TTCF is lucky enough to see the best sides of our region’s nonprofit organizations, donors, volunteers, and citizens. We want to share our gratitude with our community members so that you, too, can get the warm-fuzzies from Tahoe-Truckee’s good will and charitable endeavors.
Every week starting November 10, our blog will spotlight major areas of community impact to which nonprofits and individuals across our region tirelessly dedicate themselves. Through social media, TTCF will collaborate with over sixty nonprofit organizations featured in the Holiday Giving Guide to present their unique missions and efforts so that community members may better understand the massive philanthropic endeavors of Tahoe-Truckee’s individual organizations.
We hope that you continue to check in with our blog, like us on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter as we give thanks to local charitable endeavors. Keep your eyes out for our Holiday Giving Guide released in print with our co-sponsor Sierra Sun on November 21. If a cause stirs you, please join the community fun by donating to an area of impact or a particular nonprofit organization on www.givebacktahoe.org for our six weeks of holiday giving.
