Shane McConkey Foundation First Gen Scholarship

Shane McConkey came into this world December 30, 1969. He left at 5pm on March 26th, 2009, only 39 years old. During that time, he inspired countless lives, changed the ski world forever and altered the paths of thousands of friends and acquaintances through his accomplishments, talent, irreverence, life experience and entirely unique outlook on life. To continue Shane’s Legacy, the Shane McConkey Foundation supports causes that were close to his Heart including kids, animals, environment, and radness.

Scholarship Details
One time scholarship of $2,000 to support a First Generation Truckee or North Tahoe area youth with demonstrated need on any educational path. While the ideal GPA is 3.0, we are very open to seriously considering those who have shown hard work and dedication but for whom extenuating circumstances may have impacted their GPA.
