Girls Giving Back (GGB), the youth philanthropy project of Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund, is entering its third year. Through hands on experience, this group of 8th-12th grade girls learn all about fundraising, the grants process, and more while helping shape our community. So far, they have facilitated two grant cycles that have awarded $2,500 grants to local youth projects including the Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Bigs in Blue Program and helping the Truckee High Marching Band buy new uniforms.
GGB wants to invite you to one or all of their holiday fundraising events. They’ve partnered with generous local businesses who believe in their mission and want to help them reach their goal to grant $2,500 this year. What feels better than shopping local for loved ones while giving local, too? Bringing a friend along, of course.
