Meet the Staff

Stacy Caldwell, CEO

Stacy is the CEO of the foundation and the connector of ideas to strategy.  She spends much of her time in the community getting to know civic leaders, cultivating new donors for TTCF, and educating the community on the work of our foundation.  Internally, she works closely with the TTCF staff and board to help guide the execution of TTCF’s mission and is always developing our vision. Stacy also recently received her CFRE, Certified Fundraising Executive, to make official what she has been doing her entire career. Stacy, her husband, and three teenaged boys moved from Dallas for cleaner air and more expansive grounds and have been Truckee residents for over seven years.  She loves to read and quilt.


Alison Schwedner, Director, Community Collaborative of Tahoe Truckee

Alison is responsible for the Community Collaborative of Tahoe Truckee (CCTT), a regional collaborative comprised of 45 community based organizations who vision and work together to create a safe and healthy environment for children, youth, and families. She has been involved in the nonprofit sector in the Tahoe area for almost two decades and enjoys spending time with her three children and husband camping, road-tripping, cross country skiing, and being a part of our wonderful community. She loves live music, and is the former title-holder of Best Smile in North Tahoe-Truckee.


Phyllis McConn, Community Impact Officer

Phyllis has been a part of TTCF’s mission since 2001 and has been involved in nearly every step of its evolution. She has served in a variety of roles including Grants Coordinator, Controller, Volunteer Coordinator, Financial Support, and all around amazing superwoman. She now dedicates her time to community engagement, nonprofit capacity building and organizational development, grantmaking, and the scholarship process. She, her husband Rick, and her son also moved to Truckee from Dallas. Phyllis is a voracious reader, loves volunteering in the community, hiking, and visiting with her son who now attends University of Wyoming.


Kathy Whitlow

Kathy has a background in Human Resources and is responsible for daily office management. Among her innumerable skills, talents, and virtues, she’s well known for her organization , process development, strategy-implementation, and warm greetings. Kathy became involved with TTCF as a volunteer and donor shortly after moving to Truckee in 2007, and has been an integral part of engaging young women in philanthropy through the Queen of Hearts Girls Giving Back initiative. Kathy enjoys spending her free time paddle boarding, attending music festivals, and loving the Tahoe lifestyle with her husband and two kids.


Emily Vitas, Donor Services Manager

Emily joined TTCF full-time as Donor Services Manager in July 2018 after working as a contractor for two years. She works closely with the Tahoe50 Giving Club, the Legacy Society, and the Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund, and acts as Program Coordinator for the Mountain Housing Council of Tahoe Truckee. Before joining TTCF, Emily spent seven years in the Engineering and Construction Industry leading marketing and business development departments. Her path brought her to Truckee in 2014. Emily’s love for this region is born from a childhood spent exploring the Sierra Buttes and the surrounding Lakes Basin, a passion for outdoor recreation, and the desire to be part of a smaller community.


Deb Ryan

Deb Ryan comes to TTCF with experience in the private, nonprofit, and public sectors. Her strong analytical skills, experience with strategic planning and organizational development, and her ability to communicate effectively and find common ground among diverse stakeholders will be invaluable to TTCF’s work. Deb earned her MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and was an adjunct professor at the California State University Sacramento, School of Management. She was previously the Assistant Director at the Office of Statewide Health Planning & Development for the State of California, in charge of policy initiatives in healthcare reform. She has experience in management for small businesses and nonprofits, and is the co-founder of Stone Soup, a weekly community soup night. Since 2008, she has served on the Board of Directors of the Truckee River Watershed Council and is currently the treasurer. Deb has also received Rotary International’s Paul Harris Award for her exceptional community service. Deb loves to spend her winters skiing and her summers fly-fishing. Deb will be the friendly face you see when you walk through the door or call the office. She will support the community impact programming, and serve as the overall resident wise-woman at TTCF.
