Girls Giving Back: A Youth Philanthropy Project

Girls Giving Back (GGB) is a youth philanthropy project of the Queen of Hearts Women’s Fund (QoH) that began in 2014.  It had long been TTCF’s dream to organize a youth philanthropy project and the moment arrived when many young Queens demonstrated passionate commitment to impacting our community.

The founding members hit the ground running by launching their first annual youth grant cycle. Under the guidance of their mentors, their passion, intelligence and experience with the QoH GEMS Grant Cycle made the inaugural grant cycle a wild success. GGB awarded $2,500 to the Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Bigs in Blue program, and you can read more about it here.

The GGB membership is growing every day. If you are between the ages of 12 and 18 years old and would like to participate, contact Alison Elder at Tahoe@alisonelder.com or queenofhearts@ttcf.net.

As a GGB member, you can expect to learn valuable life skills while creating a lasting impact on your community.  Throughout the Youth Grant Cycle you will learn how to write and submit a grant proposal, fundraise (including hosting events), articulate your community passions, participate in a grants committee, and vote for a grants recipient.
