Tis the Season of Giving, and TTCF is honored to report the 2014 Fall Open Competitive Grant Cycle Recipients. 41 nonprofit efforts from North Tahoe-Truckee applied for this year’s grant cycle, and a board of ten rotating volunteers interviewed each one. Every cause is worthy, and every applicant impressed our grant committee with their passion and commitment to our community. We send our gratitude to all applicants for your awe-inspiring endeavors.
Unfortunately, the asks always exceed the grant dollars available. As much as we wish funds were unlimited, we must always narrow down the applicants to a much smaller list of recipients. This year, we approached our Fund Holders in hopes to increase the impact of our grants through additional donations. These Fund Holders, forming a type of Virtual Grant Committee, answered with a $15,000 boost to the Grant Cycle to positively effect change in our community. Thank you to all of our Fund Holders for helping shape the future of the North Tahoe-Truckee region.
