The Tahoe-Truckee Bar Association (TTBA) is a California nonprofit mutual benefit corporation of attorneys and judges in Lake Tahoe- Truckee and surrounding communities. TTBA awards the annual Judge C. Anders Holmer Scholarship to an outstanding student with a strong interest in the legal profession. Judge Holmer, aka Andy, was a TTBA founding member. In 1974, “Andy” came to Nevada County for a job, fell in love with Truckee, and stayed. A Bay Area native, Judge Holmer moved from deputy district attorney to municipal court judge. He also helped develop Truckee’s full-service court. Andy retired in 2010 and left an everlasting mark on our community.
Requirements: Merit-based scholarship available to students intending to pursue a legal career/education including lawyer, paralegal or law enforcement.
