Scholarships

Scholarships help students reach their dreams. Most scholarships held at TTCF are awarded through a cooperative arrangement with the Tahoe Truckee Community Scholarship Committee (TTCSC); through an anonymous review of our scholarship applications, TTCF’s community volunteer committee selects the recipients and TTCSC administers the scholarship payments to students.

TTCF offers a variety of scholarships for students graduating from Truckee and North Tahoe High Schools.  When donors establish a scholarship fund, they identify the criteria for selecting and awarding the scholarship.

New for 2017, students may now fill out one common application online for community scholarships, those offered through TTCF and through many other local funders.  Thanks to the generosity of TTCF’s Board of Directors and some of our very caring donors, we have purchased AwardSpring software in order to provide a community asset. The software:

  • enables students a one-stop shop for applying
  • streamlines the review, decision-making, and awards process for committees and administrators
  • provides a space for donors to tell the story of a special person being memorialized and/or the reason behind the scholarship they have created
