In this training, we developed a common language of equity, inequity and the social identities that are targets and privileged by these dynamics, engaged with peers and developed language to individually interrupt non-inclusive or oppressive language.

January 10, 2023: Resource Sharing Meeting

The Collaborative welcomed new Town of Truckee Police Chief Danny Renfrow, who shared information about a new program being considered in Truckee called the Automatic License Plate Reader Program. We also heard community briefs on rental assistance, transportation, child care, mental health, and higher education.

November 1, 2022: Resource Sharing Meeting

Tahoe Truckee Unified School District Executive Director of Student Services Dr. Annamarie Cohen  welcomed partners to CCTT’s November Resource Sharing Meeting and youth forum by encouraging youth voice now and in the future.  16 youth from North Tahoe, Truckee, and Sierra high schools joined us for the student version of a Living Room Conversation around issues impacting them at home, school and in the community . Their honesty moved partners and their perspectives will help shape partner programs and policy. The meeting was not recorded.

October 4, 2022: Resource Sharing Meeting

At the October 4 Resource Sharing meeting, partners convened in-person for a presentation from the Sierra Native Alliance on traditional pre-colonial values vs colonial values. It was great to come together again in-person and recognize our valued collaboration.

June 7, 2022: Resource Sharing Meeting

Since 2007, CCTT has been collecting data to improve the health of our community. We look at data community-wide, as well as disaggregated data by household income, race, gender, and age to inform our work.

At the June 7 Resource Sharing meeting, we shared a high level overview of key findings from the 2022 Community Engagement and Behavioral Health Survey Report and the California Healthy Kids Survey. Additionally we shared the 2020 Community Engagement & Behavioral Health Survey Report as well as subsets of data in four key areas: social context/community lifeknowledge and attitudessubstance use, and treatment

May 3, 2022: Resource Sharing Meeting

On May 3, the Community Collaborative of Tahoe Truckee hosted a panel about the early Chinese American pioneers in the Sierra Nevada. Through a series of moderated questions, we learned more about the legacy of Chinese in America, the history of exclusion, racism, and violence towards Chinese Americans, and cultural identity.

March 1, 2022: Resource Sharing Meeting

At the March 1 Resource Sharing Meeting, CCTT Director Alison Schwedner gave an overview of CCTT’s Behavioral Health Landscape and Roadmap report completed in partnership with the Katz Amsterdam Charitable Trust. The report was conducted to help us understand our region’s behavioral health challenges and resources, identify future strategies for improvement, and leverage resources for the region.

February 1, 2022: Resource Sharing Meeting

Representatives from the Washoe Tribal Health Center, the Sierra Community House Promotoras team, and our region’s Health and Human Services Department participated in a panel discussion regarding COVID, access and equity. Panelists shared their agency’s response to the pandemic and lessons learned. The importance of collaboration, community involvement, and trusted messengers was a common theme.
